AI modelling Engineer - Contractor
We are seeking a highly skilled Agentic AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy next-generation AI systems with autonomous, goal-driven capabilities. This role focuses on building digital twin models for AI agents that can reason, plan, act, and interact within complex environment representations- decision-making frameworks, and knowledge graphs to deliver intelligent, adaptive solutions.
Huawei announced Dublin as the location for its new ICT Operation Competence Centre. The Centre will carry out pioneering R&D to lead the Telecom industry digital transformation, providing Agentic AI to support such transformation and new business models.
The newly formed R&D team’s mission is to define and drive Digital twin AI Agents. We are offering an AI research consultant position on the autonomous network. You will work at the intersection of machine learning and software engineering, enabling real-world applications across telecommunication automation and datacentre storage domains.
About the Position
The successful candidate will join our team to investigate and perform research work on Autonomous Network topics. More specifically, she/he will:
- Identify the key technologies to enable the autonomous network
- Apply state-of-the-art solutions to build a small scale POC on the topic
- Work with our domain experts and other researchers to prepare deep dive reports
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Strong programming skills in Python (plus experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, AutoGen, or similar), hands-on experience with Java is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical and algorithmic models as well as of fundamental mathematical concepts, such as linear algebra and probability
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and API integration.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of RAG, semantic reasoning, or symbolic AI.
- Familiarity with AI training infrastructures and software stack.
- Contributions to open-source agentic AI frameworks or research publications.
